You live in Texas, me I live Florida. Hot and rainy country. I looked at a lot of tires and I was always told to get the Porsche recommended tires. About $1200...purchased the Faulken 912's and love em. Ride is far better than Kumo's, handling is very good dry or wet. For everyday tire, and you can get a little radical now and then, they are superb. Now, I have been told they will not wear very well. Hell, it's a Boxster with an aggressive camber setting. It's going to wear tires and for $625 installed for 18's, I can afford to buy another set in a few years.

PS: Got them at my local Discount Tire Store...had to wait about 5 days til they came in. And yes, that is them on my car pictured here.
