You should go back and read the posts regarding FVD's ecu program. A few months back
many of us took advantage of a special promotion, whereby FVD was offering their ecu software at half price to members. The unique thing about their software, is that it is custom tailored for each client taking into account the specific modifications that have been made to their vehicle. By doing so, this approach to ecu programing serves to maximize gains by safely "squeezing" every bit of power out the 986 engine. I can say first hand, that after the ecu upgrade I experienced a significant improvement in throttle response and power across the whole rpm range. However, JHandy makes a good point by suggesting that one should make all of the performance mod's they intend to prior to re-mapping the ecu.
