I attempted it today but to no avail.

I think the throttle body may be at a different angle on the 3.2 as it looked like a 45 degree bend would have fitted much better.

Next week I am going to source a length of air-seeder hose in 3" diameter that should fit. This will be easier to install and should create the same end result.

After pulling the hose off, I believe the only real benefit to this mod is removing the "muffler" on the intake hose. Not sure if under wide open throttle it will make much difference, but it should benefit low end torque. Of course the sound will be an improvement as well.

P.S. Just looked at Pedro's site, the boxster he did this mod on is different to the 3.2.

The only tip I can give at this stage is remove the oem hose first and then buy elbows with angles to suit. 90 degree bends did not work for me.
