Awesome that you're happy with the work. The thought of making the Porsche head unit the centerpiece of a $4000 system makes me a little sick to my stomach - but I despise my '03 "Blose" system with MOST bus. It is absolute garbage, and it would be a matter of principle for me to throw it away if I was going to do a major soundstage upgrade.

For other similarly inclined San Diegans who'd prefer a different headunit, I got a quote from La Jolla Audio for about $3K that included a new double-din head unit and new amp, but did not include a subwoofer or center-channel.

That amp install is sweet!
