Can anyone give a sound judgement about this vehicle.
It only has 38000 miles but it has some issues which I have yet to deal with.
My questions:
1) What years are affected by this RMS leak or IMS bearing issue?
-All but 2010 (poss 2009-not sure)
2) Why are clutches and axle boots in need of replacing at such low miles on a lot of threads I have seen? When I purchased mine the previous owner said the clutch was recently done.
Clutch dependent on driver-Axle boots-6sp go quicker than 5
3) Is it normal for the idle to jump while finding it's true idle rpm? And if not what sensor or part is the cause?
I would start with a cleaning of the throttle body-should cure it!
4) With such a large capacity of oil capacity in the engine, is there any need to add oil within the 15k life of the oil?
I would never let the oil go to 15k....mine is 3-5k, but that's just me....I never have to add oil between
5) How reliable is this engine? Again there seem to be a lot of threads and issues which I don't expect from a Porsche.
dependent on driver (and luck-lol) some people have 150k to over 200k with no major issues.....just take care of it! and drive the piss out of it!
Thanks in advance for your responses
