The original 2.5 would have made the concept car a rocket. They remained somewhat close in styling (not enough), but not in size. The concept Boxster was my number one interest at the museum and as such I spent a great deal of my time poking around it, although I never had a tape measure with me I can guarantee that it is not the same size as a Miata, and would say to my eye, it was as wide and as long as the production car.
The door mirrors did look slightly over-sized on the car and the windscreen surround was much slimmer but it was definately"Boxster" sized.
