That's another thing that I "can't lose" on is weight loss. The setup I'm going to build will still be lighter than stock. I like the quietness of the stock muffler but, the weight is a huge disadvantage especially on the track.

FWIW, when I put my Dansk exhaust on, I weighed my OEM 2001 muffler after I took it off, and it weighed in at 28 lbs. That was just the muffler, and no connections/clamps. If you like the character of the stock muffler, I would try to find a used stock OEM 2003/4 muffler. They have a nicer growl down low than the pre-03 ones, and have no droning issues.
