Not sure if you'd consider them modern - but it's a common problem on V-6 Ford Contours. There was a company that sold urethane inserts that I put into the mount on my SVT Contour to firm things up. Then again, the Ford Duratec V-6 was originally a Porsche design, so maybe it's still Porsche's fault.
