Im looking at buying a damaged engine from a guy. Its either a 996/boxter motor with a crack in the variocam case cover (
see photos ).
He purchased the engine from a local Porsche Dealer when they were cleaning house. The dealer is Sunset Imports, in Portland Oregon.
The engine number is: M96/ 2365303807 and I am trying to find out what year the engine is, size, and what trim car it came out of if it was a 996, 996tt, c4,c2 or even a 986S.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Depending on my overall findings, it will determine if I buy the engine or not.
