I noticed a little more sloppiness to the clutch take-up / engagement. Hard shifts and aggressive driving resulted in the occassional "cradle thump" that I've had occur in other cars and I knew exactly what was wrong. To be sure you could pull the access panel and watch the motor shift or lurch upon acceleration for verification, when I felt the first thump behind my butt on a harder than usual 1st to 2nd shift I immediately knew the culprit.
