The humps are not that hard to put on or take off. Takes about five minutes tops. However, one must determine that the car will not be left out of sight and that it definitely will not rain while out and about (although they do fit in the rear trunk just fine.)
Mine are aftermarket humps and I hear the factory ones are much better made and don't require the velcro straps in the center. I'd love to get a factory pair one day.
