All LEDs are Polarized in that they depend on specific positive and negative poles (polarized). On an ordinary incandecent bulb, it doesn't matter if you put the positive (+) wire or negative (-) wire on either contact, it will still light. But, the LEDs need a specific path for the current to flow in order to light.
