Do what I do.
Drive up there, ask to speak to the mechanic who's working your car, and when he comes out ask him if he has a minute to show you what he's doing and what to expect when you get it back.
My mechanic at the dealership is very nice and is happy to educate me ... bet yours will be too.
Just imagine all the jerks that they deal with that have more money than manners. Your nice demeanor will be a ray of sunshine in their normally dreary work day.
As I typed that last sentence I thought "isn't a 2000 model now out of warranty? Hope not!
