I have found this site to be of great help determining proper offsets
www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp . It helped me fit 17" Boxster twists on my 1969 VW Beetle. I try and stay neutral with the offset I run because I plan to lower my '01 S and I don't want to roll the fenders.
