well if you are going to buy NEW you might as well get the newest you can afford.

If you are going to try to lessen the impact of the money lost in buying New I would try to find a good deal on a 2003 S model (glass window).

I always look for a bargain and I think a 2003 S is allot of car for the money.
Is it worth losing $10-20K and opting for a 2005? I don't think so.
So far everyone seems to think that as you pointed out they are very similar.

whatever you do stick with the S.
