Redesigned Boxster Engines?

I just got my Excellence in the mail and read their article on the newly designed 3.6 and 3.8L 9ll engines. It appears that it is a pretty complete redesign, newly cast case halves for the engine case, integrated bearings, 40 fewer parts, direct fuel injection, easier to build, 11 lbs lighter, and more HP and fuel economy.

Does anyone have any word if they are planning a redesign like that for the 2.7 and 3.4 engines or are they just going to add DFI?
