Cost of rebuilt engine...

So, if 10-12K for a new/rebuilt Porsche engine is too pricey for your budget, I thought you might find this interesting. I just got a pricelist from one of my high-end audio speaker cable companies. Prices go something like this:

KS3038™ Terminated pairs

KS3038-3'(0.9m) $5,110.00
KS3038-4'(1.2m) $6,360.00
KS3038-5'(1.5m) $7,610.00
KS3038-6'(1.8m) $8,860.00
KS3038-7'(2.1m) $10,110.00

KS3038-8'(2.5m) $11,360.00

KS3038-10'(3.0m) $13,860.00
KS3038-12'(3.7m) $16,360.00
KS3038-15'(4.5m) $20,110.00

So, if you took the 8' pair I listed what you would get would be two eight foot lenghts of speaker cable that would connect your stereo or monoblock amplifier(s) to your two loudspeakers. All for the sum of $11,360.00. Yes boys and girls, thats over 11K or the cost of a sweet rebuilt Porsche engine for two pieces of speaker cable. Now, lets see, do I want a pair of speaker cables or a new 3.4L engine for my Boxster, decisions, decisions.....
