I do not trust the fuel gauge. I have a calibrated wood stick I shove into the filler to check the fuel level.

The oil level gauge was way before the Boxster. At our work on cars days over the years we have done many oil changes. Never use the stick. I pulled mine out about 6 years ago just to see how long it was.

One bar is about a cup of oil.
