I'm too cheap to pay the cost of the concealed units and - though I may be wrong - I'm under the impression they have less range.

I have an Escort and glued non-slip material to the bottom of it. I laid a flat, black non-slip pad on the far left end of my dash and the RD sticks to it very nicely. Were I to get pulled over, it's easy to lift off and slide under my seat. It leaves no marks on the windshield for anyone (thief or cop) to see, and it's legal in California.

All that said, I didn't get it to speed. Mostly. I got it because if I'm not paying close attention to my speed and going along with the flow of traffic, I think my speed yellow Box is more likely to get pulled over than others. So I like to have a little warning.
