Direct Fuel Injection Boxsters?

I was surfing and found this older link to an older article in Top Speed: Top Speed Article . It includes things like:

"According to Porsche the DFI will increase the power on the new Boxster with 13%, so if will be to believe that, the 2008 Porsche will be powered by a Flat-6 engine delivering around 270 hp. This will help the new Boxster to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds and have a top speed of 165 mph."

If we do see DFI in the 2009 boxsters, there could be close to a 20 hp bump like Porsche claims for the 2009 DFI 911's (325 to 345hp). So my question is what will DFI do to the sales of the Boxster S models?

The base boxster has been getting quicker in recent years and between the lower price for the base model, the better gas mileage it gets, its lighter weight, and with 260+ hp for a DFI base boxster, will the sales for the Boxster be hurt? I know I was always interested in an S, but a new 260 hp DFI base model that gets 30 mpg looks awful good, especially at $4.00+ a gallon.....
