Yup, it is a 31% share. Ferdinand Piëch and Porsche's Wendelin Wiedeking both sit on VW's governing board.
And the German law protecting VW by limiting shareholders to 20% of votes was overturned in Oct 07.
Personally I see it as revenge for the 914-6 screwing that VW gave Porsche.
