Let me say this once for everyone considering it:

DO NOT TRY TO DO IT ALONE UNLESS YOU KNOW HOW TO WORK WITH CANVAS!

I replaced my top a month ago with three buddies, and those its water-tight and there are no mechanical problems to the top, it was a royal pain in the butt, and it doesn't look as good as it should. Its kind of loose, and has loosened since I installed it.

It involved a lot of time, a lot of glue, and a lot of skill that would only come from doing this a hundred times.

It is nearly impossilble to stretch the canvas tight enough to make it worthwile.

All that being said, I had never done anything like that before, and was trying tos ave some money. I am "satisfied" with the top, but I wish I had perhaps had a professional do it.

Feel free to PM me with any questions. I was going to do a photo DIY article, but the camera died as we started the project, and I just wanted to get it over with. It took 3 days from start to finish.
