Bought these from Performance Products at Christmastime. Got them and painted the rotor hats black before I noticed that they had actually sent me the parts for a base Boxster and not the S.
I paint all my rotor hats this way, with high temp gloss black engine paint. It holds up very well as proven by my 944 track car and my Audi wagon.
So, my loss is your gain. These have never been installed even.
