Do try the contact cleaner and compressed air thing, then swing by a dealership and have the code cleared. Or, find a forum member nearby who has the durmametric software and cable and they can do it for you. Auto Zone's code readers don't have the ability to turn off the airbag light, and to answer your next potential question .... no ... you cannot disconnect the battery overnight and clear this code out.

If it remains on or comes back on, buy two new seat belt receptacles from Sunset like I did (MUCH cheaper than your local stealership) and install them yourself... it will take 15 minutes per seat and it's only 4 bolts to get the seat out of the car to do it.

Easy-Peezy fix.
