Hey I chime in here since I've done a lot of homework and will do my own write-up on this shortly.

It's not worth the Vertex Auto price. If you submit an offer they will take $200.

Now as for the cheaper HID kit I think(don't know for sure) that CQ Lights sell the same kit or at least ballast.
