Be aware that some states are less striingent when it comes to damaged/repaired cars or flood cars. Texas comes to mind. Also be aware of "Katrina" cars.. they are still out there.

I would be less concerned about climate of the cars existance than how it was used and maintained. A known history and "feel" of the seller are more important than if the car came from Boston, Seattle or San Diego.
