finaly did the 30K heres my thoughts

Ok so I took my car to my buddies shop where we had access to a lift. I had previously changed the air filter and cabin filter so we were just going to change the fuel filter, oil filter with oil change, and change the spark plugs.

the spark plugs were easy up until the last ones that are deep in the car. it was hard to get that long coil out in the small space that we had. then we realized theres a rubber boot with a plastic clip the clips on to it, and we took that off. But putting it back in was a problem cuz the clip broke and the book wouldnt stay attached to the coil. we used a round metal clamp and screw it tight on. we didnt make the same mistake for the other side.

the fuel filter was a task too since the space was small again but that was done with no trouble. this car is fairly simple to work on.

I also looked at the cars internals and admired how nice everything is packaged and noticed the engine casing had a 996 part number, control arms built in england I believe, some stuff made in italy and I saw a nice engraved "variocam f1" on the engine casing. it looked like f1 but it could have said someting else.

all in all it was a good lesson, it was my first time doing this maintenance, everything went well. hopefully I wont run on 5 cylinders, and btw this took many hours to do.
