They ARE NOT a direct swap... it would be dumb thing to do, b/c you are destroying your brake bias.

The 996TT brakes are 6 piston in the front... 4 in the rear.

You can do a GT3 brake conversion, but honestly with your standard 986, why would you need any more? You can just upgrade pads, lines, and fluid if you want increased performance... OR you can upgrade to 986S/ 996 brakes.
