I snapped 2 off when replacing my cv boots. I removed that section of the exhaust, rested the flange on a piece of pipe and a few carefull hits with a hammer and they came right out. No damage at all to the flange. I initially replaced the bolts with grade 8 bolts from the hardware store ($1.50) but have since replaced them with oem bolts and nuts ($5.00 per bolt, $4.00 per nut)! Good luck!
