I think that Corvette thought he was going to leave you in the dust when that other car finally got out of the way by going into the pits (did they get black flagged for holding up traffic?) but you hung with it pretty well

Yes the smoking corvette got black flagged but there was still almost a full lap left for him before pit out. I wonder if they should have blue flagged him for holding up traffic...
I was originally trying to keep my distance since I didn't know if there was oil being dropped on the track from the smoking corvette. It's always the same issue for me: get passed on the straightaways by cars with more power, but then catching up during braking and turns... Need more power Scotty
