Winter Driving
 

It's not all that easy to driver the Boxster in winter with the Traction Controll off:

My '99 has no TC or any another driver assist. I have been driving the 986 in the winter since I got it, through blizzards, snow, anything. If you are going an appropriate speed for the conditions, you won't need to make all of those little corrections, even when driving on snow. Snow tires are required.

@rick3000: Isn't it that we always try to push the boundaries of the "appropriate speed"? That's how we learn and evolve.

@Bfan: Iceland. Nice. Do you drive your Boxster there in the snow? Ever take it to the mainland? I've only been to Reykjavik once for a 2-day contract. Always hoping to go back and see some of the country.

No have not yet taken the Boxster to the mainland but it is on my to do list...But I don't really drive my car in the snow, they salt the roads her so I am concerned about that. But I sometimes drive it during winter when the roads are dry. Can't led it be. My car does not have traction control like yours. That seems to help a lot :-). Here is a picture of the first ski day this fall. Had lent my DD to my son and did not want to miss the fun. So I went to the mountain in the Boxster.
