There appeared to be some very good driving factored in there as well. I would have enjoyed seeing them swap drivers and doing that same timed course again.

It was nice to see the box and cayman win though!!!!!!!!!

It was a fun video to watch. That's the thing with Best Motoring though, it just for fun and doesn't prove much. There are so many variables that are taking place during a race besides the cars. The #1 variable being the driver and the car a distant 2nd. Perhaps the Cayman driver was just a more skilled driver than the others, but nobody can deny that the Boxster and Cayman have earned respect among true enthusiasts and are very capable cars.

Thanks for watching and commenting guys, I think the drivers probably did have a major influence on the final result, but I think it also shows the Cayman and Boxster did seem give the drivers an extra sense of confidence when on the edge.

Here's a Car and Driver test that is a little more scientific and offers comparison between a lot of cars including a Cayman S and a Carrera S. They both turned identical lap times at VIR. Not good news for Carrera owners especially of the base model.
