Send a PM to Brucelee. He may be able to change the system settings on the forum software to allow this.

I think having search terms less than a certain number of characters brings back too many results defeating the purpose of a search to refine and filter what's out there.

It frustrates me too though. :matchup:

Actually, direct your inquiry to RKWEI.

I have seen this limitation on other forums. I don't know if it is something we control or not.

+10 on this one. This issue is really annoying sometimes, especially when I'm trying to search for info on oil among other things.

Add ROW and 030 to the list. I tried researching a sport suspension and had to use "suspension" (Good grief forum members! Learn how to spell!)

In MySQL the minimum searchable word length is a configurable parameter.

/etc/my.cnf:
[mysqld]
ft_min_word_len=3

After changing you must restart the MySQL server and rebuild the FULLTEXT indices.

Timothy, if you can't type in English, I'd rather you not type at all.

Just smashing the keys on the keyboard with random words and letters doesn't do a thing for me :)
