Boxster 3rd Brake Light Emblem
 

I've been toying with the idea of adding 'PORSCHE' to the rear of the Boxster. I discovered that the 3rd brake light has 7 lighted segments, which perfectly matches the number of letters in the word Porsche. The problem is the light does not allow much vertical space for letters. And the 'small' stick-on letters I could find (Amazon & eBay) were to tall at either 3/4" or 1". I needed 1/2" letters to make this idea work. After more research, I found that the Porsche emblem off a 356c has the correct letters. I sourced a used emblem from eBay, refinished it and stuck it on with 3M double sided tape. Here are the results...

I probably would dremel those connecting bridges.
Your idea might cause trouble with our TÜV, probably not so much with the Polizei. :D

You Polizei aren't the only ones; in several states, anything "obstructing" the third brake light is illegal and favorite ticket bait.......................

Great idea, but the only emblems I can find are $100+ dollars, not exactly something I want to do on a whim.
