I think the Boxster served as a perfect habitat for some critters. Most likely the same thing happened to this guy:

Behind the seat shot of the engine:





Bumper is off, time to remove the tranny. Still nice rear end though








Easy peasy!



So far so good, let`s move now to the engine. Everything looks original and unmolested, ovearall in great shape. Coolant and engine oil looked good too, considering the 11 years sitting I guess that`s a good sign.

Lowering the engine:



AC pump is hanging on its hoses aside:




Oops, this is how NOT to drop the engine!




I missed one hose, it got stuck and pulled the motor off the lift.. Amateur sloppyness.. And now what? How to get it out from there? More tomorrow.

No Brother-In-Law there to watch for hoses/wires?
Mine yelled "STOP" as I was lowering my own P Motor because he saw an attached hose.
This is what it looks like with BIL assistance.

No BIL here, but I`ll definitely get one next time! Apparently he also helps Boxster engines reproduce
