I know exactly what you mean! Happens to me all the time.
Don't tell us, you got a 3D-Printer now :D Looks promising already! |
FWIW, I like this better than the paint/wrap project you attempted earlier. Also, this is a pretty complex shape...exactly how did you do it, and what's the material??? (I have a suspicion, just want to see if I'm right, lol)
Did you ever figure out a solution to getting around the front turn signal requirement? I doubt that it would happen, but I'd just hate to see you get a ticket... ;) |
They are made out of plastic. They fit over the light. Unlike the crapy eBay ones that lay on top, stiff as a board and dont fit. They ate 2 piece and can be adjusted to fit really nice. I'm gonna have to ask about the wiring. I've got some LED lights if I decide to go with the full covers. I've made several different styles.

Retro chrome or nickle is always good!
Looks really good...I would still like a fog light option there. Heat and plastic might not become friends though. |

With all your mods (top, smiley and headlights) I finally get the look your going for...a 997GT3, correct? :)
If that's the case, have you considered the front markers/turn signals in the bumper? I don't know how close the 987 or 997 bumper curvature (and lights for that matter) match the 986, but if it was the same (and since you have the ability to model plastic and have already cut into your bumper cover), there's your solution. How exactly did you fabricate your covers...they don't look printed. Vac form? You don't have to tell if it's a proprietary secret.... ;) |
