Happy New Year!
Still messing around with virtual designs... an interesting mix of both colors...sand beige :D |
I kind of like that one!
|
That combo looks brilliant in that pic. (The car helps)
|
The white stripe and red lettering on the side throws off the concept and goes against the gray/sand color

thank you for your comments, guys.
Yeah, I took the side stripes not really into consideration yet. But it is always the overall impression which counts. Like my wife says...color matching is most important...all of them. :D You guys said, that "white-ish" color is not matching and you are right. so a more adapted design...trying a different side liner color in the middle segment ...and omg...the sand color lightens up...so even that needs to be played with to get the perfect "sand color impression" ... it still needs a few more tweaks to figure out the perfect harmony :D |
now in Porsche Palladium metallic (color HSB adapted to original)...

still hunting this color (kind of) for the stripes
http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1515012046.jpg not sure, if it is original...matt would be fine, as my grey stripes are matt as well elferclassic - Porsche Farben |
and as I am hunting: Does anyone know the cayman side window trim parts number?
aluminum/chrome is what I am trying to go for with my Z-Top |
went through a couple of Porsche and Land Rover beiges and tracking the Sandbeige (I like) down...not quite RAL1001...but almost
I can get quite fanatic over color nuances ...lol http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1515020878.jpg |
pixie dust...difficult to properly simulate the correct beige with photoshop as the brightness in each photo is different, in darker surroundings a golden stripe almost looks better on grey,
as it blends in perfectly. |
old photo photoshopped, just for the grin and giggles...the "plan" for the rear... form follows looks...won't be easy to simulate the grill,
but I did it once, should work for the hatch as well. This time less brightness for the stripes...turns almost into a golden color. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1515416296.jpg Porsche emblems missing still as well as aluminum side window trims (still need to figure out how to...lol) Can't wait to see the WTH faces on the road  http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1515419126.jpg |
after years, finally available over here and on its way to me
