1998 986 Boxster 2.5 from Belgium

Hi everyone!

I've been lurking around the forum for a while now but never became a member up till now as I didn't own a Boxster. But things have changed as I just bought myself a '98 Boxster 986 2.5! :D

I now joined the forum to get to know these cars a little better and to ask for your help when I need it :p I was already wondering if it is sensible to use a fuel additive to clean the engine? And if so, what kind of additivewould you recommend?

I already have a few mods in mind to start with:
- exhaust internal bypass mod
- aftermarket seat heating
- de-snorkel
- short shifter and original gear knob install
- double din GPS system
- rock chips touch-ups & de-swirl
- re-paint the calipers (paint in poor state)
- interior re-styling (leather deep clean, add some silver parts, yellow dials, yellow stitchings etc...)
- and probably a lot more because of you guys :D

It's not yet in my garage, but will be in the next couple of days. I already have a few pics though:

Hello Belgium!

Welcome to the forum. That looks like a really nice car. Love the wheels.

Others will chime in, but my mechanic has advised me not to use any fuel or oil additives.

On another note, the factory phone holder (on the right side of your center console) is an excellent place for a phone mount like a Brodit ProClip.

That is a great looking car. I have a pastel yellow myself, but I actually prefer the colour of your car.
