Congrats on the buy! Very nice looking car.

For IMS, i wouldn't do it unless you readily have the cash, can do without the car for days and more importantly need piece of mind. Needing a clutch helps make the decision easier too. For me though, even with the cash, even if I needed a clutch I probably still would not do it. I do frequent oil/filter changes (every 3K miles / 5K KM) and only use Mobile 1. I have a magnetic drain plug and watch that and the filter for bits of plastic, metal indicating something is amiss. Also invest in a durametric and keep an eye on cam deviation. If no bits in the oil and deviation angle is in spec and solid, leave it alone. I've heard of so many of these cars going 150K am more miles with pristine bearings... why change it and spend the $$ blindly is how I look at it...

Enjoy the ride!

@ducati: nice hardtop! Did you btw do the IMS? And if yes, any tips for a good mechanic? Always in for a drive, sure. Standplaats Arnhem, jij?

@alimar: thx. Am gonna just drive it now and probably gonna wait till the clutch needs replacing.
