Look what I got!
 

Just picked it up. 2001 with 42000 very well cared for & documented miles.
First job was new dbl row LN IMS, new water pump & new clutch. Runs like a dream.
First trip was from San Jose back home to Santa Barbara along Highway 1 - good bonding experience!
The original IMS was OK, a bit stiff & signs of the seal going. Now I don't have to worry!!!

I bet your face still hurts from grinning the whole way down from San Jose.;)

You can until you get a ticket. I lived most of my life in CA and have endured many tickets for no front plates.

It came without the front plate - I guess I have to apply for a new one.

UPDATE: I removed the oil seals - no grease inside but lots of oil!
Here is a pic of the old IMS. It looks and feels very good but there is a bit of oil leaking out and a kink in the seal. Who knows how long it would have lasted? Glad I replaced it - just think of it as a service item!http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1412279274.jpg
