Here's my recently rebadged 2004 in Carmon red. I like the look the hardtop gives the car so much that I keep it on most of the time.

For those of us looking to buy a hardtop where is the best place to look and buy? When I do find one on ebay seems nobody is willing to ship. I've wanted a hardtop for a while but am having a lot of trouble finding a nice used one in my area and I'm definetely not going to the dealership-I'm looking for an arctic silver or black one

In terms of finding them I looked to ebay, craigslist, Excellence, Panorama and this forum. I ended up finding one in SoCal in the color I wanted (no repainting costs and hassle!) with a cover, stand and the seller was wiling to deliver it to me for a price that made sense for me. Don't forget you will need spin locks and don't forget to ask about the three plastic covers. Good luck. |

cbbepop: can you please post close-up pictures of your ZeinWing? I have mine painted and ready to install, but I was worried about screwing the baseplate into the bumper.

Tips
Mine comes back from being painted in a couple of days. It didnt come with the car and I had it on to take it to the shop. I had to fiddle with lock lever plate screws to get them to lock. Any tips on doing the adjustment ? The guy I bought it from didnt know. He also said to put a light film of car wax on the rubber seal to have it adhere better ?

DIY "Zeintop"
I just did not like the look of my hardtop bowler hat look so this is my DIY "Zeintop" made of carbon fiber/epoxy. Less than $500 bucks including
window and rattle can paint job.http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1425161292.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1425161354.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1425161408.jpghttp://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1425161633.jpg |
Wow. Looks great! Like a mini-911 Turbo.
It makes me want lots more details, though. Is it built over the stock top, or from scratch? What kind of window did you use? How do you open it? Why did you cover up the spoiler? (You never drive over 70mph?) |
