986 + 987 Wheels

just in case you were curious,

986 with the new 19" 987 wheels

gives it a certain new and fresher look. Add in some skirting and it gets better.

I'm not a big fan of the 987S wheels on their own, but agree that they spruce up your Box nicely. Congrats !

Does anyone else think that Porsche sadly lags Mercedes and even more so, BMW, in their wheel styles? I'm constantly seeing rim designs on other makers that are IMHO awesome, but have yet to see a real eye-catching set of rims on a Porsche (not just the Box).

no not my Boxster.

I was briefly considering these wheels until I decided ont the Carrera 5 spokes which are my favorite wheel design of any Porsche. As distinctly Porsche as Fuchs.

as far as aftermarket I have always been a fan of BBS and was considering the
mesh variety but the hassle of cleaning them made the 5 spokes any easy choice.

I like the Carrera Classic Wheel with the 5 spokes too. It really allows you to see into the wheel and visually "take-in" all of the cool mechanical brake stuff; like the huge red calipers and the cross drilled rotors. Just my HO.
