Rims finally back on!

After what seemed to take forever, I finally put back on my newly refinished rims on my project Boxster. As you may know, I originally had the rims done in a matte black but felt that it was too dramatic of a contrast. So I sent the rims back and had them redone in a brushed aluminum with a standard clear coat.

I think the brushed finish color flows better with the car.

Great looking wheel design with perfect fitment on a great looking car! Hard to go wrong regardless of the wheel finish.

I'm the oddball that still prefers the black finish although I admit they look great with the new finish! :)

I have to concur with ddb. I think if you had originally gone with gloss black centers, or better yet full gloss black, you would have been much happier with the combination. In any case, your car looks great, and you should be lauded for your efforts . It's one of the nicest boxsters on the site .

Looks good either way but I

am partial to the black as well...gloss would have been my choice.

I am a big fan of black rims, But the brushed aluminum rims look 10X better. IMO:)

Looks great both ways .. though seems from pix the rear tire looks just a tad skinny for those rims ? .. if yes, I have the same problem on my car .. no tire protecting those beautiful shiny things from the curb =(

Thanks for the comments everyone!

The rears are not stretched. I made sure when they built these rims that they were 1. the correct offset and 2. would not be stretching the rear tires. (I've never liked that look).

Here's another angle that might show the rears better

If you don't mind me asking, what are the sizes and offsets ?

19 x 8.5
19 x 10

Offset info is retained by the wheel manufacture as part of their intellectual properity. But they fit damn good 😃

Your kids are super lucky to be getting that one day. =)
