pic of my GT3 MKII sideskirt

took this picture for a friend who made some race numbers for me. Did them on powerpoint, had them laminated at staples and stuck magnets on the back. Total cost $10.

The sideskirts are from precisionporsche.com total cost $430 delivered. Body shop charged me another $600 to paint and mount.

ok one more time, I'll post these on my cardomain page.

by the way the GT3 MKII is not available from Porsche for the Boxster.
Only the MKI which is called the Aerokit II (I think).
I thought it was too round for my taste so I took a chance on the newer version,
I'm also adding the GT3 front bumper but I'm taking forever to make some modifications to the bumper before I have it painted.

These sideskirts are purely custom (fiberglass) and took about a month to make.

Here's a stock pic to compare, a much more finished look.

here it is on an actual 996 GT3 MKII

Here's the bumper with the lip spoiler and RS outlets on GT3 MK1 Club SPort
(with silver hood crest :) p.s. this exact same bumper can be used on the Boxster
the SuperCup lip spoiler just needs a little cutting on the ends to work with the Boxster and teh first generation 911 GT3.

total damage so far $6,000 :D (mostly ebay)

seats $1700 (usually $2500-$3500 new  )
wheels $1900 (usually $2400 from wheelenhancement.com)
bumper $1050(not painted yet, $2,000-$3500 list unpainted)
sideskirts $1000 (painted, aftermarket 50% cheaper but not polyurethane)
These little upgrades could have easily gone over $10K withut some careful shopping.

from an upstart that's been advertising in Excellence
Precisionporsche.com

be prepared to wait a looooong time. Took them 30 days but it was only $400.
And its aftermarket so the fit isn't going to be as perfect as OEM.
Just saw a 996 Cab with the same wheels and skirting. Almost thought it was my Boxster :D
can't wait to get those cut outs on the new bumper. Summer is almost over!
