new wheel from Factor One Garage
How is it goin, I was at Hot import daze in San Diego this weekend and I notice this wheel on factor one garage's boxster. I think this looks nice and clean. I talk to the sales rep that was at the show he gave me a great deal on them......$1199.00 for 19x8.5 and 19x10.5. What do u guys think about this wheel? He also told me custom finish is available.

Wow, that's cheap.
I purchased some 19 inch Forgline's from Brandywine porsche for $3995 no tax with tires a couple months ago, love the wheel design with PHAT rear lip. Do you have a better pic of the wheel? I don't care too much for it from what I can see. KRZ  |
I think it looks great! Most important do you like it.
BTW:Do they make 18's? |
Sonic,
Do you have a different angle picture on those. They look awesome so far. |

I would encourage you not to go over 18". I think 18" is the limit if you want to keep all of the car's performance in cornering. 7.5 front 9" rear. for tires 245 and 275. I got my 5 spoke carrera lights (21 pounds) from Ernie's Alloys in Miami. $1900 delivered. |
I don't seem to be able to post the wheel picture off there website......but here is the link www.factoronegarage.com

Don't care for the Hero's but the Version one is sick, maybe you can get that in a black center piece with chrome lip.
I think its $1099 per wheel. KRZ |

Currently my car has 19 wheels 19x8.5 Front 19x10 rear; Handled better with the 18's on, still need to put my coil overs on though, maybe that will change things????????? KRZ |
I talk to the sale guy again....he said is $1199 for all 4 wheels 19x8.5 front and 19x10.5 rear. and $1099 for the 19x8.5 and 19x9.5. However porsche bolt pattern......is only in 19x8.5 and 19x10.5.
According to the sale guy.....the only reason why is this cheap right now, is because they are running a promotional special right now. |
The lines/edges of those rims are too hard. They're too straight. I think because of the Boxster's natural curvaceousness those rims just don't flow. How heavy are they?

like jeph stated take consideration for weight, marterial and strength, is this a multi pc. wheel? are they forged alloy? theyre nice looking on poster but is it a practicle wheel for highway use? you dont want to have air leaks or bends. may i suggest "porsche challenge forged style", "luff wheels" found on ebay similar in price in my opinion more attrative with similar characteristics. personally i would suggest save your paper for a reputable true 3 pc wheel such as hre, kenisis, forgeline, bbs high dollar wheels but worry free.(well almost) here s an idea "iforged wheel" for less than 2500.00 you can own a strong attractive 19" 3pc wheel set. PERFECT!

Dont like
Dont get me wrong the tires look OK but I think the Carrera light alloys are much nicer looking than those. I am not insulting your taste just stating that I prefer the carrera's. Maybe if you give us a different angle to view we can capture the impact of the style change.
