the painting is NOT hard at all. Time consuming, but not hard. I've heard people say that the trick to painting is the prep - and this job convinced me of that.

the bumperettes are all rough and bumpy - if you get down and look at them - they have little bumps all over them - you have to sand all that off. PITA. I did it by hand. If you had some kind of sanding machine it might go much faster. then you prime it - and you start to see how smooth it gets. then you paint. I took my time and spread the steps out over days - to let each step fully dry.

after I did this - I started thinking that painting my center console, or other interior components would NOT be very hard - you just need to set aside the time to do it.

show us the pics of your lower bumper when it's done Crios!!

986

Boxster emblem is gone - but the glue residue remains. What can take this off?
Also where did you order the 986 logo - ebay?

I don't remember what I used, maybe 3m adhesive & wax remover (only thing in my cabinet now), also I would try rubbing alcohol if you happen to have some.
It is actually 968 logo, so you just have to rearrange it. Any dealership should be able to get it for you, but for me Sunset was cheapiest by far.
