Pics from beautiful Galena Illinois drive with my beatiful bride of 16 years
Greetings to all 986 boxster fans and owners. If you are from the midwest it is a must that you drive to Galena Illinois. Named after the scientific word for LEAD..the town of Galena illinois was once the home of many lead mines and a close port town near the Mississippi River. The undulating landscape is a pleasure to drive thru..especially when when you have a beautiful porsche and an even more beautiful wife of 16 joyous years. So here is some pics from our trip, 3 kids 1 dog 2 cats and a rabbit were left with the inlaws..so we could have some alone time with our ride and each other. by the way Galena is easy to find and the Eagle Ridge Resort is about as romantic and affordable place there is anywhere around. IL RT 20 west 3hrs from the northwest suburbs 1/2 gas later ..and we were there.
