Well thank for showing off my car to the forum Jacob haha- And yes I recently got a 986, my first car. I was inspired by his and got one for myself. |

When we gonna race ;) |

Don't know how I'll be able to compete against your S. But- even though yours may be faster, mine will sound better ;) |
Forget the race, we need a pic of you two with your car's side by side.

I hope to be bringing this sweet girl home next week. Just waiting for financial close to occur.

Not mine (jeez I wish) but one of my favourite/Best Boxster Pic http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1485252365.jpg |
It was that photo that made me do the projectors in the first place :) took years off the front end and made that classic oval headlight shape more obvious.

Those wheels.... sick if you ask me. Best Boxster around in the black for me.
just can't wait to see yours with all black, things may change. Get it done! |

http://i.imgur.com/AkNWukqh.jpg I wouldn't paint the wheels without lowering the suspension as it wouldn't suite it. Going to look fantastic though :) won't cost much either as I'll be installing the springs and painting the wheels myself. The only thing stopping me is this winter weather. It's freezing here! Just have to figure out how to get that silver edge so perfectly. |

RE trimming/tracing perfectly circular shapes on car wheels, DIY a tool that plugs right in the hub. Use PVC piping or anything really. The red bit is a cutter (knife, pencil, whatever). Drill holes along the arm so you can position your cutter where it needs. You'll figure it out I'm sure. Hope this helps! Nobody can do anything about that silly British weather though (I know what you mean mate) http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1485340913.jpg |
Definitely not my best, but the sun was shining and I wanted to get some good daylight photos of my new silver and black hood and airbag crests. :D

I like this one..... Spoiler's up.

I'm starting to love the Boxster in black!
Great shot, excellent timing ps: find 10mm wide spacers for the rear wheels on your car bud, you could do with the 5~7mm in the front also. That'd look really bad (in a good way!) |
|
No Boxster but a view from that area on the other side

Stark winter look, but warm enough to take a quick mid hibernation trip.

Hello folks, greetings from tropical Jakarta, Indonesia.
This is my first ever 2 seater, convertible, impulse-purchase, Porsche. It is a 2003 Guards Red over Savannah Beige Tiptronic 2.7 with 28k KMs on the clock (about 3k added since I bought it in November 2015). Been taking it to a Porsche authorized service center, then a specialist, and tinkering with some minor works myself thanks to this forum and Pelican's book. http://i797.photobucket.com/albums/y...pszorrpcix.jpg Originally came with 16" wheels, now it rides on 987's 18" Boxster S II wheels: https://www.serayagallery.com/images..._1627ed493.jpg |

What I did to the car: - Full interior detailed, leather restored, carpet shampoo'd, steam cleaned and vacuumed - Engine bay de-greased with AutoGlym's Machine Degreaser, then steam cleaned - Roof deep cleaned and protected with AutoGlym's Soft Top Renovator & Protector - Pre-wash rinse with AutoGlym Insect Remover - Wheel faces and barrels cleaned with AutoBrite Purple Rain - Tyres dressed with Meguiars Tyre Gel - Three-bucket extensive exterior wash with lambswool mitt, detailing brushes & wheel woolies, including door shuts and wheel arches - Scuff and scratch removal with wet sanding techniques - Dried with several high pile drying towels - Contamination removed with Meguiars clay bar - Three-stage machine polish (Chemical Guys Orange, Green then White pads with Megs 105 & 205 compound) - Headlights de-yellowed and restored using the same technique - AutoGlym Extra Gloss Protection sealant - Victoria Concours carnauba wax on paint, headlights and wheels - Black bumper trim dressing on front scuttle - Glass machine polished and cleaned with hydrophobic solvent - Exhaust polished with metal polish I detail cars by the way. With what I've done, the great thing is that whenever I wash the car, it returns to this state as I wash it in a way that can never introduce swirls. Rinse, three buckets with lambs wool wash mitt, rinse, dry with two clean drying towels, etc. Takes about an hour to wash the car but I was it every two weeks. I did this about 7 months ago and, when checking the paint last night with a swirl-checking torch, there is absolutely no swirls. This car gets used every single day, but it's cared for. All I do to it is wash it correctly and occasionally wax it as its condition is already like this. Sorry to rob the thread guys, as you were! |

The instrument cluster on these cars doesn't get the praise it deserves. |
