Love your front bumper. Which bumper is that?

xtremecc 05-14-2012 02:05 PM

@ ohhh my, thank you. That's a Caractere front bumper bumper.

ohhh my 05-14-2012 07:39 PM

Any fitment issues?

xtremecc 05-14-2012 09:29 PM

No bodywork needed, 95% fitment at least. Almost a direct screw on. Ned to fiddle a bit just to center it right. You do need to either take out the front bumper crash bar, replace with the euro version of the crash bar or modify your oem by cutting the lower corners and rounding the bottom to simulate the euro version. lltek motorsport told me they were back order on the euro version so I decided to cut my oem reinforcement bar. Very easy to take off and put on since you also leave out the radiator's plastic air ducting.

It was 65 degrees before we started our ascent up the pass (that's why the top was down) and 32 degrees and snowing like a ******************** by the time we reached the top.

Were the roads salted? You'll need a good detail when you get home. Safe travels.

hotbarbeque 05-20-2012 11:15 AM

Thanks - we were lucky with the timing on the sunset - got it just right! Gonna have to photoshop that pylon out...

This is on chinook pass in the cascade range of Washington state. We went over two days after they opened it. 5400 feet elevation.

Glad to hear it's open. Now that is a nice stretch of road. Great pic, too.

ProjectM96 05-29-2012 04:48 AM

After seeing that pic, I think I will paint my Boxster blue one day.

Just got my DEPO Smoked LED brake lights on, many thanks to Andrew. Great seller. Top is before (stock OEM), bottom is after. My stocks are now on sale if anyone wants them -_-

There is just the one RUF bumper, I just had a custom 3rd radiator grill added to mine.

Thumper 06-13-2012 10:11 AM

The RUF bumper looks really good, but I really liked your old front bumper.

The old one got cracked on a curb, it is sitting in storage.

If anyone wants to do some fiberglass repair work. Shoot me a pm with your email address and I will send you some pics of the damage and we can work out a price.

Here's another i did for fun, without using anyones actual car. (i like it better)
Also, IMO, this would make a great rear plastic license plate frame thats for sure.
(Id'e buy it and wear it to promote the forum.) cool if available in different colours to match our cars:-)

I agree, the old early 90's type graphics got to go, so bad I selected the Pelican Parts vBulletin 2 style format to view the forum, actually not too bad as I can also surf Pelican at the same time.

Gorgeous car !!!!! Love the rims!!!
I really need to know more about that Kick butt rear bumper
please tell me what it is! I want one!

Also, curiosity is just killing me on the 2x turbos on a 2.5.
everyones swears its a totall waste of money with no braggable gains other than
guaranteed engine destruction. (Did you at lease change the pistons), What is your take on that set up after you tried it!
regreats or smiles?

Ok yah, and how much boost?

Please do tell! or should i just assume with your comment about engine trouble that says it all!

Thanks. looking forward to your reply.
