Maybe on my next one.
you sell your wheels yet?

Thanks guys for the compliments!

eslai, No way I could justify $5k for these wheels either. I went with a set of replicas. I have about $2,000 in the wheels, a new set of Goodyear F1 GS-D3's, stainless steel lug bolts and center caps.

Can you post some pics of your 987 with the Cayman S wheels?

Thanks,

ddb

Hey DDB

How are the wheels working now that you have had them on for a few weeks? Any problems?

Thanks

Wheels look great. The painted centers go well with your car. A great look overall!

I just wish those wheels had more of a lip (slight deep dish) on the rears - that would push them over the top.

noone986s,

So far it is going great - I'm really loving the wheels and tires. Both performance wise and looks! I have to admit I've only driven the car a few times for a total of less than 100 miles. It isn't a daily driver and I can't seem to get a break from work travel.

At any rate here are some thoughts:

My initial impression was the ride was considerably stiffer. Now, after a few drives, it feels no differently than the old 17 inch wheel/tire combination. So yes, it is stiffer than before, but it isn't close to being offensive. In fact, in a strange unexplainable way I like the feel of the car better now.

It also feels like the steering is more responsive. I don't know if it is just a perceived difference or reality, but the steering feels quicker.

I did repaint my center caps to better match the color of the spokes. They aren't perfect, but match better than before.

Although it will be time consuming, I've verified that I can stick my hand through the spokes and clean the barrel of the wheels, which I intend to do on a regular basis.

CJ & J-RAD, thanks for the compliments.
